Intern With Us

Summer or Fall Interns! Apply below.

Interested in supporting Playtime beyond volunteering? Become a Playtime Program Intern! Our interns work on-site at our weekly and monthly programs, supporting children experiencing family homelessness through the power of trauma-informed play. Interns get the opportunity to develop their skills working with youth ages 6 months-14 years old while learning about trauma-informed care and what it takes to run programs for youth. In addition to working on site during programs, they work with our dedicated program team to learn about data tracking, curriculum development, and more! Interns also have opportunities to work with staff beyond our program team in areas such as social media, design, and more.

Our internship cohorts typically run seasonally, with Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer cohorts. Interested interns can submit an application below, and should hear back within a week or two from our team about next steps. When possible, we work to customize your work plan to any requirements from your internship program, including hours, projects, and more. It is our belief that an internship should be a mutually beneficial relationship with our interns gaining valuable experience during their time with us; don't worry, you won't just be doing our grunt work!

Summer or Fall Interns! If you are interested in interning with Playtime, please fill out the application below. We will accept interns on a rolling basis. If you are looking for a summer internship, please email nicolien@playtimeproject.org to be added to an email list to receive more information when that application is posted.

Please note: Internships are unpaid, with interns reimbursed for work-related travel.
